2021 Topps Luminaries

On August 18, 2021 I received a DM on Twitter from @Topps that I had won a box of 2021 Luminaries which was very exciting since this is a product that is priced out of my budget for box buying as they are in the $350-400.  Keep in mind that these boxes contain a grand total of 1 Card either an autograph or an autographed relic.  I watched some YouTube breaks of this product and there was some really great stuff pulled and then there was some like Mark Teixeira so was hoping for a big pull with this one. Package came FedEx with the crunched corner was a little worried but box inside was fine! See below for the pull that I got from this premium product.  I'm very happy with this pull was hoping for maybe a Mike Trout but still a nice HOFer!

BMW Championship W/Lots of pictures

A friend of mine was volunteering to work the BMW Championship tournament so I decided to take a day off and try to do some autographing at the PGA playoff stop at the Caves Valley in Owings Mills, MD.  The tournament had issued a NO Autograph policy but most players were happy to stop and sign between holes of the Wednesday ProAm practice round.  Others sighted the policy and moved on those stating the policy were mostly the bigger names Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Brooks Koepka & Justin Thomas.  The only player that I saw sign and I didn't get was Rory McIlroy as he skipped my SI magazine a couple times.  I was hoping to get Phil Mickelson but he didn't play in the ProAm and I never saw him.  I was able to 30 golfers and 3 others that where playing in the ProAm and a total of 45 autographs so a great day even with missing out on most of the big names.

I went to the Lexington Legends at Lancaster game tonight to do pregame autographs only got 3 players, Brandon Phillips, Ben Revere, Dave Eiland didn't travel.  JJ Hoover was the starter & Jose Briceno starting catch both said no, Henry Owens said after the game, Jeremy Jeffress didn't come out until after game started so not a great night. As I left I did find a foul ball in the parking lot.

Saints in Baltimore

I went to the Ravens Saints game on August 14, 2021.  I went early which was useless due to the Covid pandemic the had the fencing set up wider and with double so you couldn't get near the players.  Gates opened 2 hours before the game as usual so went to try and get some of the Saints I was able to only get 4 players of which none of them did I have a card of, for the most part the players said no or weren't interested probably also Covid related.  The only good part was that the Baltimore TV team included Rod Woodson and the Saints radio team included Deuce McAllister who both signed also, saw Ozzie Newsome and I asked and he said nah.  I also got a glove from the Saints side pregame. After the game was just as bad with not one Raven signing anything.  Looks like another long season of no graphing for the NFL.

Hella Mega Tour - August 13, 2021

A few of us went to the Hersheypark Stadium August 13, 2021 date of the Hella Mega Tour with Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Weezer & The Interruptors.  Show was supposed to be last year and was postponed due to Covid.  It started at 5:30 & ended at 11PM, it was a great show by all the bands.  Below are links to the set-lists and a few pictures and links to some videos.

I received a RAK from @KevinSpollen He has a ton of Jacksonville Jaguars stuff and when Chris Smith was signed by the Ravens I said I needed an autograph and Kevin sent me this one, Nice PC addition to the all-time Ravens autograph collection.

Ravens Stadium Practice

Once a preseason the Baltimore Ravens hold an open to the public practice.  This years event was last night the practice roughly 2 hours from 6-8 PM and then was followed by some interviews with Jim Harbaugh, Justin Tucker & Calais Campbell and a laser & fireworks show at 9 PM.  Dave & I went down early to try for autographs which was a bust no one signed pregame.  But after was a little better as some players stated they where told not to sign but whatever..... others did stop and sign so I was able to get 16 autographs from 10 different players not bad but not great.  I was also able to get a Jaylon Ferguson and a towel from someone didn't see who throw it.  See below for the items I got and items I got signed & some pictures Justin Tucker, Mark Andrews & inside the stadium.  Highlight of autographs was definitely getting J.K. Dobbins & Rashod Bateman.
