Metallica in Philly

Friday night Dave my son Eric and I went to the Metallica show in Philly. The was also supposed to have Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat as opening acts only one of them made as Synyster Gates' wife went into labor and A7X didn't play this show would have been more disappointing if I had not just seen the full show from A7X and Volbeat 3 days earlier in Hershey PA so I wasn't as disappointed as some were of the news.  The show started an hour later and they had some DJ Mix Master Mike who wasn't very good, would have just rather heard the songs he had but..... Then Metallica hit the stage and played for about 2 hours and 15 minutes played almost everything I wanted to hear except Fuel but in it's place they played Creeping Death so it's all good was a great show Big Screens, fireworks, lasers, fire etc....... as you would expect from a stadium show and they didn't disappoint.  This is the 3rd time seeing them (1988 & 1998) and this was the best show by far had it all!

  1. Saw them back in the day with GNR. Awesome concert. One of my favorite groups of all-time. Bummer to hear that DJ Mix Master Mike wasn't good. I'm a big Beastie Boys guy, so I probably would have enjoyed his stuff.
